No Airport: Faces of White Cross ExhibitThe exhibit's opening reception on January 9, 2009 was a well-attended community celebration, following UNC-CH Chancellor Holden Thorp's announcement earlier in the day that the airport authority would not be seated, and that UNC would relocate its AHEC flight operations to Raleigh-Durham International Airport. NC Division of Water Quality Public Hearing
In October 2011, NC Division of Water Quality Director Coleen Sullins granted a request by Preserve Rural Orange and the Haw River Assembly for a public hearing, to receive comments regarding UNC's application for a permit modification to replace and expand the wastewater system at the UNC animal research facility in Bingham Township.
